Full course description
What
distinguishes champion spellers from their peers? Deliberate practice.
According to the research of Dr. Anders Ericsson, deliberate practice
"entails engaging in a focused, typically planned training activity
designed to improve some aspect of performance. During deliberate
practice, individuals receive immediate informative feedback on their
performance and can then repeat the same or similar tasks with full
attention toward changing inferior or incorrect responses, thus
improving the identified area of weakness." All champions engage in
deliberate practice - champion spellers, athletes, musicians, even
surgeons. In this course, leaders will have multiple opportunities to
engage in deliberate practice focused on the super levers of leadership,
such that they can be champions for their students and teachers.
